Fengyuan develops and manufactures fuel cells and their core components, including catalysts, membrane electrode assemblies, metallic bipolar plates, stacks and fuel cell engines. It has integrated capabilities from raw materials to complete systems. It is a national key specialized and innovative Little Giant enterprise, a Zhejiang leading innovation and entrepreneurship team and a provincial enterprise research institute. During the previous hydrogen application pilot program, it worked with nearly ten vehicle manufacturers to deploy more than 700 vehicles and will also play an important role in the next program. Under the agreement, both companies recognize each other as strategic partners. They will develop commercially competitive fuel cell and hydrogen storage systems for industrial production and market deployment, including trunk logistics and port transport, and jointly promote several hundred vehicles in Jiaxing's demonstration program. They will give preference to each other's products and services and maintain close communication, including meetings between management teams. For infrastructure, they will combine their technological and market strengths to promote large-scale hydrogen production and low-cost supply. Working with local energy companies or through joint or independent operations, they will support coordinated development across hydrogen production, storage, transport, refueling and use. They will also conduct public education to improve understanding and acceptance of hydrogen.

The partners will combine their strengths across the hydrogen ecosystem, explore technical synergies between hydrogen supply systems and fuel cell systems, and jointly develop reference applications. Their goal is to accelerate deployment in heavy-duty transport, urban buses and distributed power generation.
